Are these physical sewing patterns? What exactly am I purchasing?

No. These are digital PDF sewing patterns to be downloaded upon purchase. No physical pattern will be mailed to you. Your purchase includes the digital pattern files and sewing instructions described in the details of the pattern you are purchasing.

What is included in the download?

For each pattern purchased, your digital download includes:
- A4/US Letter print-at-home pattern files
- A0 large-format copy-shop pattern files
- Sewing instruction guide
Please refer to the product description for the exact files included in the specific pattern you wish to purchase.

What sizes are catered for and how do I choose my size?

Please refer to the size chart shown in the product listing photographs and size range listed in the pattern details to determine which size is most appropriate for you. Choose your size based on the body measurements specified in the size chart.

Do the patterns include seam allowance?

Yes. All patterns include 1cm/⅜in seam allowance - unless otherwise specified in the sewing instruction guide.

How do I receive my pattern after purchasing?

After completing your purchase, you will receive an email containing a link to download your files. Please be sure to check your spam, junk and promotions folders if you do not receive an email after your purchase.

I did not receive my download / my download link isn't working. What should I do?

If you cannot find your download or are having trouble accessing your download link, please contact us at [email protected] with your order details so we can assist you.

Can I save the pattern to my computer / store it in cloud storage?

Yes. We recommend saving a copy of your purchased files somewhere secure so that you can easily access them when needed. For personal use, you may store your purchased files in a private cloud-storage account such as Google Drive or iCloud. Please do not share the files publicly or give other people access to them.

Can I share my purchased pattern with a friend, sell or upload it to social media groups or other websites?

No. Your purchase is for your personal use. Please do not share, sell, redistribute, upload or otherwise make the pattern files available to other people - publicly or privately.

Can I make garments using the pattern and sell them?

Yes, you may sell finished garments made from our patterns on a small-scale handmade basis, however, mass production and commercial manufacturing are not permitted.

Can I get a refund?

As PDF sewing patterns are digital products, purchases are generally non-refundable. Kindly refer to our Refund Policy for more information.

Is my payment information secure?

Payments are securely processed through our third-party payment provider. We do not directly handle or store your full payment-card details where the payment provider processes them on our behalf.

1. Digital products and immediate delivery

After successful payment, your purchased pattern may be made available immediately by download, email, customer account, or another electronic delivery method. Because the product is digital and may be accessed or downloaded immediately, refunds are handled under this Policy and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to your transaction.

2. Our recommended refund standard

We generally do not provide refunds simply because a customer changes their mind after the digital pattern has been downloaded or accessed. However, we will consider refunds or other remedies where required by applicable law and in the circumstances described below.

3. When you can request a refund

• Duplicate purchase: you accidentally purchased the same pattern more than once.• Failed or materially defective delivery: the files are corrupted, incomplete or technically unusable and we cannot reasonably correct the problem.• Materially not as described: the product materially differs from the description presented at the time of purchase.• Incorrect product supplied: we delivered a different pattern from the one purchased.• Other exceptional circumstances: we may approve a discretionary refund where appropriate.

4. What is generally not refundable

• A change of mind after you have downloaded or accessed the files, except where a mandatory legal right applies.• A failure to read the product description, size chart, fabric requirements, skill level or other information that was clearly provided before purchase.• A pattern not fitting because the buyer selected the wrong size or did not follow the measurement or printing instructions.• A buyer's inability to use a particular file format, printer, paper size or sewing method when the relevant requirements were disclosed before purchase.• A pattern that does not match a buyer's personal taste or expected aesthetic, where it otherwise matches the product description.• Unauthorised sharing, redistribution or other misuse of the files.

5. How to request a refund or correction

Email [email protected] with your order number, the email address used for purchase, the product name, and a brief description of the problem. If the problem is technical, include enough information for us to investigate it. We may first offer a corrected file, replacement download or other reasonable remedy where that resolves the issue.Please contact us as soon as reasonably possible after discovering the problem. If a specific statutory refund or withdrawal period applies to your transaction, that period is not replaced by this Policy.

6. Refund method and timing

Approved refunds will normally be returned through the original payment method and processed through the payment processor or merchant of record used for the transaction. The time for the refund to appear in your account may depend on the payment processor and your bank.

7. Merchant-of-records transactions

Where our third-party payment processor acts as the merchant of record for your purchase, that provider may process the payment, taxes, invoices, refunds and customer transaction support. Its buyer terms and refund rules may apply in addition to this Policy and may provide rights that cannot be excluded by this Policy.

3. Digital delivery

After successful payment, we will provide the purchased digital files through the delivery method shown at checkout. Delivery depends on the payment and fulfilment systems used. You are responsible for providing a valid email address and for maintaining access to it.

4. Payment and Merchant-of-Record

Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. If that provider acts as merchant of record, it may be the seller/reseller for payment purposes and may handle payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, invoicing, refunds and transaction support. The provider's buyer terms may apply to the transaction in addition to these Terms.

5. Prices and taxes

Prices are displayed at checkout in the currency shown. The final amount payable may include taxes or other charges, where applicable. Where a merchant of record is responsible for calculating and collecting transaction taxes, those amounts may be calculated and charged by the merchant of record.

6. Product license

When you purchase a pattern, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the purchased digital pattern for sewing purposes. The purchase does not transfer ownership or copyright in the pattern to you.

7. What you may do

Unless a product page states otherwise, you may download and store a reasonable number of copies for your own use and print the pattern for your own sewing. You may use the pattern to make finished physical garments for yourself, gifts, or small-scale commercial sale, provided that you do not sell, distribute or share the digital pattern itself.

8. What you may not do

• Resell, sub-license, rent, lease, gift, redistribute or commercially distribute the digital pattern files.• Upload the pattern files to websites, marketplaces, file-sharing services, social media, cloud folders accessible to others, or other public or shared repositories.• Share the files with friends, sewing groups, customers, pattern testers or other third parties, except where we expressly authorise a particular use in writing.• Remove copyright, trademark, attribution or other proprietary notices.• Reverse engineer, modify or reproduce the pattern for the purpose of creating a competing digital pattern.• Use our photographs, illustrations, instructions, text, branding or other website content to market another product without permission.

9. Intellectual property

All rights in the digital patterns, instructions, illustrations, diagrams, photographs, website content, branding, logos, graphics, text and other materials supplied by us remain with Patterns By July and/or the applicable rights holder.Copyright and other intellectual-property rights are not transferred by purchase. You may not use our materials except as expressly permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

10. Customer-made garments and attribution

Attribution to Patterns By July is appreciated when selling small-scale, handmade garments made using our patterns, but it is not required. Customers who choose to provide attribution may do so in any reasonable manner they prefer.

11. Pattern testing, corrections and updates

We may correct errors, update instructions or replace files when necessary. Where a material correction affects a purchased product, we may provide an updated file or replacement download where reasonably practicable. We do not guarantee that every product will receive unlimited future updates unless the product description expressly promises this.

12. Sewing and safety disclaimer

Sewing involves the use of scissors, rotary cutters, sewing machines, irons, needles, pins and other tools that can cause injury if used improperly. You are responsible for using appropriate equipment safely and following manufacturer instructions. You are also responsible for choosing suitable fabrics, notions and construction methods for your intended use.

13. Fit and results

Pattern measurements, finished measurements and size charts are provided to help you select a size, but fit can vary based on fabric, construction technique, body measurements, ease preferences and alterations. We cannot guarantee that a finished garment will fit every body or produce a particular result.

14. Website use

You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape or reproduce protected content in an unauthorised manner, or use the website for unlawful purposes.

15. Availability and errors

We aim to keep product information, pricing and downloads accurate and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted website operation or that the website will always be free from errors. If a technical problem prevents reasonable delivery of a purchased product, we will make reasonable efforts to provide access or another appropriate remedy.

16. Refunds
